ABAARM Course Description
PART I. Written Examination
This part consists of a 3 hour multiple-choice written exam with a predominant focus on:
- Diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Nutritional therapies
- A sound textbook knowledge of endocrinology, neurophysiology, and cancer.
The written exam will be preceded by a preparatory session. This review course is generally held the day prior to the exam.
After completion of all requirements for Part I and receipt of signed Diplomate certificate from the Board, a physician may refer to him/herself as a "Diplomate" in anti-aging medicine by the American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine.
PART II. Oral Examination
In this part, candidates are questioned by two oral examiners during an in-person, private exam interview. Generally, the oral exam takes typically 40 to 60 minutes and consists of one or two standardized mock cases and related clinical questions.
After passing Part II and verification by ABAARM of completion of the physician's certification criteria, s/he may refer to her/himself as "Certified" in anti-aging medicine by the American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine
